Bharati AI — the voice of every Indian village

Bharati AI is VoiceOfVillage's assistant. Ask her about any village in India, in your own language. She answers only from the public records and official sources on this site, shows where each fact comes from, and says so plainly when something isn't known. Gram Vaani is the village data platform behind her.

Bharati AI by Gram Vaani: an Indian woman in a blue and white saree holding a tablet, beside the tagline “The Voice of Every Indian Village” and icons for village news, jobs, government schemes, hospitals, schools, mandi prices, temples, community discussions and local services, available in English, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Bengali and more.

What you can ask

  • Village facts. Population, households, literacy and amenities from Census 2011 and LGD for every village, mandal and district.
  • Official news & job notices. Press releases from district websites and recruitment notices from public service commissions, with closing dates and the official link.
  • Places near you. The nearest hospitals, schools, banks, post offices, police stations and offices, with straight-line distances.
  • Mandi prices & weather. Today's prices at the nearest markets (₹/quintal, with the market date) and the forecast for the village area.
  • Disaster alerts. Active NDMA SACHET alerts in the issuer's own words, with the area they cover and when they end.
  • Ask by voice, hear the answer. Tap the mic and speak in your own language; tap 🔊 to hear the answer read aloud. Your browser turns speech into text — VoiceOfVillage stores no audio.
  • Emergency numbers. 112 first, then the verified national helplines — Bharati AI never dispatches help itself.
