Samastipur

Samastipur mandal is located in Samastipur district, Bihar, comprising 141 revenue villages and 14 gram panchayats. According to Census 2011, the mandal had a population of 267,904 across 51,848 households, with a literacy rate of 55.1% and sex ratio of 892. The mandal recorded 77,041 workers, including 10,928 cultivators and 21,190 agricultural labourers. Notably, 96.4% of households had access to JJM tap water by the survey period.
