Official rule (in English, as published)

Landholding farmers' families with cultivable land in their names. Excluded: institutional land holders; serving or retired government employees (except Multi-Tasking Staff / Class IV / Group D); pensioners with a monthly pension of ₹10,000 or more; persons who paid income tax in the last assessment year; registered professionals (doctors, engineers, lawyers, chartered accountants, architects); constitutional post holders.
