Track and landfall

Formed over the Bay of Bengal and was named Arnab on 26 October 2026. Intensified into a Very Severe Cyclonic Storm and crossed the Andhra Pradesh and Yanam coasts near Narsapur and Yanam between 0200 and 0800 hrs IST on 28 October 2026 (IMD Special Bulletin No. 13 of 28 October). It weakened inland over Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, south Odisha and Chhattisgarh and became a Well Marked Low Pressure Area over central Chhattisgarh and adjoining Odisha at 1730 hrs IST on 29 October. Heavy rain warnings tied to the remnant remain in force for Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Bihar, East Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal.

Landfall: Crossed the Andhra Pradesh and Yanam coasts near Narsapur and Yanam between 0200 and 0800 hrs IST on 28 October 2026 as a Very Severe Cyclonic Storm (IMD Special Bulletin No. 13, 28.10.2026 1300 hrs IST).
