Karnataka's 2026 holiday list is not loaded on VoiceOfVillage yet, so its own dates are not shown here.
In the Government of India's list for central government offices, Diwali is on Sunday 8 November 2026.
Share how your village celebrates Diwali
Every village celebrates in its own way. If yours has a public Diwali programme — at the temple, a fair, a community dinner, a rangoli contest — add it as an event with its date, time and venue. For your family's customs, the food you make, or what the elders remember, write a post with photos.
On your village's page, choose Add an event for a public celebration, or Write a post (add #diwali) for traditions and photos.
You sign in with your mobile number; posting needs a one-time photo ID check from your dashboard.
A moderator checks every submission before it appears. Nothing is published automatically.
Post only your own photos, and only of people who agree — never of children without their parents' consent.
