The only eligibility criterion is that the individual must be aged 70 years or above, as recorded in their Aadhaar card, regardless of economic status. Cover of up to ₹5 lakh per family per year; people in CGHS, ECHS or CAPF schemes choose between their scheme and PM-JAY.
