Kalaigaon

Kalaigaon mandal is located in Udalguri district, Assam, comprising 84 revenue villages with a Census 2011 population of 84,314 across 17,469 households. The mandal recorded a literacy rate of 66.6% and a sex ratio of 962 females per 1,000 males. Of the 35,943 workers, 13,191 were cultivators and 2,766 were agricultural labourers. As of post-Census data, 66.0% of households had access to tap water through the Jal Jeevan Mission scheme.
