Boden mandal is located in Nuapada district, Odisha. It comprises 86 revenue villages and 15 gram panchayats, with a Census 2011 population of 82,949 in 21,697 households. The mandal recorded a literacy rate of 45.1% and a sex ratio of 1,038 females per 1,000 males. Among the workforce of 44,397, approximately 12,666 were cultivators and 5,365 agricultural labourers. As of the survey period, 68.3% of households had access to tap water through JJM.
