Ranikhet

Ranikhet mandal is in Almora district, Uttarakhand. It comprises 309 revenue villages across 148 gram panchayats. At the 2011 Census, it had a population of 81,238 in 17,556 households, with literacy at 72.6% and a sex ratio of 1121. The mandal had 38,291 workers, of whom 14,005 were cultivators and 316 agricultural labourers. As of the post-Census period, 87% of households had JJM tap-water connection.
