Kurhani is a mandal in Muzaffarpur district, Bihar, with 190 revenue villages and 37 gram panchayats. Census 2011 recorded a population of 435,676 with a literacy rate of 53.9% and a sex ratio of 891, reflecting significant gender disparity. The mandal had 141,631 workers comprising 16,303 cultivators and 25,262 agricultural labourers. According to post-Census data, 96.4% of households had access to piped tap water under the Jal Jeevan Mission.
