Semaria mandal is located in Rewa district, Madhya Pradesh, comprising 193 revenue villages under 56 gram panchayats. As per Census 2011, the mandal had a population of 149,564 across 33,611 households, with a literacy rate of 57.8% and a sex ratio of 942. The mandal had 65,315 workers, including 18,591 cultivators and 16,538 agricultural labourers. As of the post-Census period, 59.1% of households had access to JJM tap water.
