Sarupathar

Sarupathar mandal is situated in Golaghat district, Assam, comprising 429 revenue villages organized under 21 gram panchayats. The 2011 Census reported a population of 211,337 with 44,564 households, literacy at 66.8%, and sex ratio of 960. The mandal had 95,283 workers, including 37,456 cultivators and 7,670 agricultural laborers, reflecting a significant agrarian economy. JJM tap water coverage reached 66.0% of households.
