According to Census 2011, it had a population of 104,225 across 18,978 households with a literacy rate of 59.1% and a sex ratio of 856. The mandal had 41,410 workers, including 18,443 cultivators and 4,606 agricultural labourers, and achieved 100% household tap-water coverage under the Jal Jeevan Mission.
