Piriyapatna

Piriyapatna mandal is situated in Mysuru district, Karnataka, with 203 revenue villages and 34 gram panchayats. The 2011 Census recorded a population of 226,391 in 50,044 households, with a literacy rate of 62.8% and a sex ratio of 944. The mandal had 112,269 workers, of whom 59,540 were cultivators and 20,555 agricultural labourers. Post-Census data shows 70.9% of households received piped tap water under JJM.
