Kunigal

Kunigal mandal is located in Tumakuru district, Karnataka, comprising 315 revenue villages across 36 gram panchayats. According to Census 2011, the mandal had a population of 191,628 with a literacy rate of 59.8% and a sex ratio of 1007. The workforce included 107,630 workers, of whom 59,245 were cultivators and 11,490 were agricultural labourers. Post-Census data shows 70.9% of households have access to tap water under JJM.
