Kurud is a mandal in Dhamtari district, Chhattisgarh, comprising 83 revenue villages and 68 gram panchayats. The 2011 Census recorded a population of 122,387 with a literacy rate of 67.4% and a sex ratio of 1,004. Agriculture forms the primary livelihood, with 21,313 cultivators and 25,216 agricultural labourers among 63,147 workers.
