Tumakuru

Tumakuru is a mandal in Tumakuru district, Karnataka, comprising 398 revenue villages and 41 gram panchayats. According to Census 2011, the population was 292,015 in 67,787 households, with a literacy rate of 68.1% and sex ratio of 932. The mandal recorded 143,911 workers, of which 50,326 were cultivators and 23,615 were agricultural labourers. Jal Jeevan Mission tap water access was provided to 70.9% of households.
