Thodupuzha mandal is situated in Idukki district, Kerala, with 17 revenue villages and 14 gram panchayats. The 2011 Census showed a population of 225,373 in 55,857 households, with a literacy rate of 87.2%—notably the highest among listed mandals—and a sex ratio of 1010. The mandal had 90,599 workers, with 15,004 cultivators and 11,348 agricultural labourers. Post-Census data shows 51.8% of households had access to piped tap water via JJM.
