Chikhaldara

Chikhaldara is a mandal in Amravati district, Maharashtra, comprising 161 revenue villages and 54 gram panchayats. According to Census 2011, the mandal had a population of 105,662 across 21,030 households with a literacy rate of 64.4% and sex ratio of 962. Agriculture forms the economic backbone, with 11,935 cultivators and 23,922 agricultural labourers among 51,912 workers. As of post-Census data, 82.1% of households had access to piped tap water under JJM.
