Sipajhar

Sipajhar is a mandal in Darrang district, Assam, comprising 100 revenue villages across 14 gram panchayats. The mandal had a Census 2011 population of 128,472 with 26,754 households and a literacy rate of 63.8%. The sex ratio stood at 964 females per 1,000 males, with 46,447 workers including 20,559 cultivators and 2,642 agricultural labourers. As of the survey period, 66.0% of households had access to tap water through the Jal Jeevan Mission.
