Berinag

Berinag mandal is situated in Pithoragarh district, Uttarakhand, encompassing 196 revenue villages and 55 gram panchayats. Census 2011 recorded a population of 35,489 in 8,462 households, with a literacy rate of 72.3% and sex ratio of 1,060 females per 1,000 males. Of 14,079 workers, 7,616 were cultivators and 449 agricultural labourers. The mandal had 87% household tap water access under the Jal Jeevan Mission.
