Ramnagar

Ramnagar mandal in Maihar district, Madhya Pradesh, comprises 245 revenue villages administered through 55 gram panchayats. Census 2011 showed a population of 159,414 in 35,917 households, with a literacy rate of 55.7% and sex ratio of 963. The mandal had 72,571 workers, of which 11,363 were cultivators and 16,321 were agricultural labourers. Tap water access through the Jal Jeevan Mission reached 59.1% of households.
