Sibsagar

Sibsagar is a mandal in Sivasagar district, Assam, comprising 179 revenue villages and 20 gram panchayats. According to Census 2011, the mandal had a population of 163,301 across 34,703 households, with a literacy rate of 81.3% and a sex ratio of 963. Of the 65,066 workers, 11,621 were cultivators and 1,038 agricultural labourers. As of the Jal Jeevan Mission, 66.0% of households had tap water connections.
