Chhatarpur

Chhatarpur is a mandal in Palamu district, Jharkhand, comprising 142 revenue villages and 22 gram panchayats. Census 2011 data shows a population of 140,025 in 25,338 households. The literacy rate stood at 46.4%, with a sex ratio of 916. The mandal had 52,771 workers, of whom 6,288 were cultivators and 8,500 were agricultural labourers. JJM tap water coverage reached 46.4% of households.
