Nanjangud

Nanjangud mandal is located in Mysuru district, Karnataka, comprising 190 revenue villages organized under 45 gram panchayats. According to Census 2011, the mandal has a population of 331,335 across 78,008 households, with a literacy rate of 53.2% and a sex ratio of 989. The workforce includes 151,094 workers, of which 41,909 are cultivators and 47,486 are agricultural laborers. As of the survey period, 70.9% of households have access to JJM tap water.
