Hosanagara

Hosanagara mandal is located in Shivamogga district, Karnataka. It comprises 209 revenue villages with 30 gram panchayats. Census 2011 data shows a population of 112,381 across 25,917 households, with a literacy rate of 71.5% and sex ratio of 1,019. The mandal had 54,100 workers, of which 17,324 were cultivators and 13,707 were agricultural labourers. Jal Jeevan Mission tap water coverage was 70.9%.
