A depression that formed over the southeast Bay of Bengal on 31 October 2026 (IMD National Bulletin No. 1, BOB/09/2026) intensified into Severe Cyclonic Storm Murasu over the west-central Bay of Bengal and crossed the south Andhra Pradesh coast between Nellore and Narasapur close to Ongole during 0330-0530 hrs IST on 3 November 2026 with wind speed 100-110 kmph gusting to 120 kmph (National Bulletin No. 20). It weakened into a Cyclonic Storm over south coastal Andhra Pradesh by 1430 hrs IST and is forecast to become a deep depression by midnight and a depression by the morning of 4 November. IMD's district warnings for 3 November: extremely heavy rainfall (red) for East Godavari, Dr. B.R.
